Workshop Overview

Organized by the Robotics & Automation Club, TSEC. Aurigen hosts this site. Aurigen is not the organizer.

Over two days you build a walking robot from parts to first steps.

You wire the ESP32-C3, drive four servos directly (no PCA9685), light the SH1106 OLED, and ship working firmware.

This site does not take registrations. Find your team on the Builders page.

Hardware

The Robot

Four servos are driven directly by the ESP32-C3. No PCA9685. OLED is SH1106 on GPIO 8 and 9. Buzzer is GPIO 4. Keep power solid. Keep grounds common.

ESP32-C3

Controller and BLE brain. Advertises as AlbertMini. Servo signals attach to GPIO 0, 1, 3, and 10.

4 Servos

Direct PWM from the ESP32-C3. No PCA9685. GPIO is signal only. Power comes from the servo rail.

0.96" SH1106 OLED

128x64 I2C. SDA GPIO 8, SCL GPIO 9, address 0x3C. Not SSD1306.

Buzzer

GPIO 4. That pin is not a servo on this robot. Older pages that used GPIO 4 as a servo do not match this kit.

Power

3.7V Li-ion, holder, slide switch. Rails as on the expansion board. Optional 470µF for servo spikes. Spikes can drop BLE.

BLE

Real BLE UART-style RX. Phone sends WALK STOP CENTER LEFT RIGHT BACK REST BEEP. Serial is debug only.

How do I register on this website?
You do not. The college did not allow website registration. Teams already signed up through the Google Form. Find your team and BOT ID on the Builders page.
What hardware do we use?
ESP32-C3 expansion board, four servos on GPIO 0, 1, 3, 10 (no PCA9685), SH1106 OLED on GPIO 8/9 at 0x3C, buzzer on GPIO 4, a 3.7V Li-ion cell with holder, a slide switch, and optionally a 470µF capacitor on the servo rail.
What is the team size?
Minimum 1 member. Maximum 5 members per BOT ID.
When is the workshop?
Day 1: 21 August 2026, 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Day 2: 22 August 2026, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
